TikTok On The Clock – My Summary of Learning

What a condensed yet impactful summer semester! I had the pleasure of taking EC&I 833 – Educational Technology with Dr. Katia Hildebrandt at the University of Regina. I am so thankful that I took this course, as it has me excited for the upcoming school year this fall! I hope you enjoy my humorous references to pop culture, and the advantages and struggles of teaching with technology.

  2. Oh that PIVOT scene is immediately what came to mind when our admin team sent out the email about our next steps. Burned right into my brain. Excellent summary of learning! Well done!

  3. Love that you did this with TikTok and I especially appreciate the focus that you had on the blogging aspect of the course. I always enjoyed reading your blog posts, and I hope that it is something that you continue with in the future. The communications throughout the blogs are where I had a lot of meaningful learning, particularly in a class with such a variety of unique perspectives.

  4. Kat, I enjoyed that you used a relevant platform to display your summary of learning. I was totally thinking of using TikTok, but I figured that I should download the app and see what it actually was first and didn’t get around to doing that haha. I connected with Microsoft Office 365 as that is what we use in our school division and I agree that it is a one-stop-shop for student learning and growth. Thanks for the laugh at the end, have a great summer!

  5. What a great way to summarize your learning! I loved the pop culture references – the pivot scene is a classic! I will admit I used that in a staff meeting this year when we were changing plans yet again . . .
Let’s hope this upcoming year is much more stable!
